Cambodia Medical Team a Meaningful Outreach
Medical Team Returns from former Khmer Rouge stronghold.
July 24, 2000, the directors of Health Emergent International Services, including one of three medical doctors, accompanied TCOTW, of Southern California as part of a medical outreach into north western Cambodia approximately 30 kilometers outside BATDAMBANG to a remote village. The country is slowly recovering from a Communist faction headed by Pol Pot, who took control of the country in 1975 to began a violent, forced restructuring aimed at returning the country to an agrarian communal society.
